What Fort Walton Beach does to a window
Fort Walton Beach has two kinds of glass problem. Out on Okaloosa Island, the Gulf is on one side of Santa Rosa Boulevard and the sound on the other, and the salt mist coats everything facing either way within a couple of weeks. The condos and beach houses along the island get it worst, but the homes on the mainland waterfront, along Brooks Street, Elliott Point and the Santa Rosa Sound shoreline, get a softer version every time the wind comes from the south.
In the older neighborhoods north of Eglin Parkway and Miracle Strip Parkway, in Kenwood, Wright and Shalimar, the trouble is the trees. The live oaks and pines that make those streets shady also drop pollen every spring, and the shade keeps the north-facing glass and screens damp enough for mildew most of the year. Cinco Bayou and the Shalimar waterfront combine both: bayou humidity and salt air. Add irrigation on well water in Mary Esther and the newer subdivisions off Lewis Turner Boulevard, and the lower panes collect a line of mineral spots.

Do you clean condo balcony glass on Okaloosa Island?
Yes, for individual owners. We clean the balcony sliders, railing glass and interior windows of your unit. Exterior glass that can only be reached from outside the building is handled by the association’s contractor, and we will tell you which is which on the first visit.
Can you clean around hurricane shutters and storm panels?
Yes. If your shutters are up for the season we clean what is reachable and come back for the rest once they are down. Accordion and roll-down shutters do not get in the way of a regular clean.
