What Niceville does to a window
Niceville sits on the north shore of Choctawhatchee Bay, far enough from the Gulf that the salt mostly drops off, and what takes its place is pine. The neighborhoods off John Sims Parkway, College Boulevard and Highway 20 were cut out of pine flatwoods, and every March and April the pollen comes down thick enough to turn porches, cars and glass the same shade of yellow. It sticks to the screens, gets washed into the tracks by the spring rains, and stays there until someone cleans it out.
The bayous are the other thing.
